Red River Revel Arts Festival The Red River Revel Arts Festival is the largest outdoor arts festival in North Louisiana. The Festival attracts 180,000+ people to the Shreveport riverfront over the course of eight days in October. The Festival celebrates the arts with more than 140 juried artists from across the country displaying and selling their creations; 17 food booths run by local non-profit organizations; 5 food booths run by for-profit businesses; morning and afternoon arts education programs; exhibits; lectures; and performing arts programs on three outdoor stages. The children's area will delight young and old with art projects, face painting, and so much more. In years past, George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic, Keith Urban, and The Band Perry have amazed our great Revel crowds.

A primary goal of the Red River Revel Arts Festival is arts education for children. There is an entire area exclusively for children's activities, complete with a performance stage and food booths! Children of all ages can create art projects at Creation Station or the Junior League of Shreveport/Bossier's Artist for a Day. A favorite is the mock geological dig site, which allows children to make exciting anthropologic discoveries, without ever leaving the Revel site.
