The Tucson International Mariachi Conference was created three decades ago to pass mariachi traditions to the next generation---keeping the cultural heritage alive. Each year, hundreds students from all over the world learn music and dance from experienced mariachi masters. In addition, these youth gain valuable experience in team work, individual responsibility and the importance of tradition.
The event is comprised of student workshops that are followed by several public concerts, including the Espectacular Concert, featuring the world’s best and brightest mariachi musicians.
